Fresh find is a platform that enables users to buy and sell fresh produce online, and connecting local vendors and consumers.

Process

Understanding the Users

  • Conducted research on Fresh Find's desktop users
  • Identified areas of improvement for functionality and usability
  • Targeted desktop users for the redesign

User Interview

  • Conducted a qualitative user interview with Harvest Dozen business
  • Gathered insights on business needs and pain points
  • Used the interview to inform the redesign process

Card Sorting

  • Used the card sorting method to evaluate the information architecture
  • Participants organized topics into categories that make sense to them
  • Identified users' mental model and wording problems
  • Confirmed whether the navigation design corresponded to users' conceptions

Brainstorming

  • The team started a brainstorming session to pitch ideas to solve the problems found during research and user interviews
  • Ideation session allowed for creative solutions to be developed

User Testing

  • Designed wireframes and mock-ups to test ideas
  • Iterated designs based on feedback from user testing
  • Not all designs were successful, but testing led to a more user-friendly design
Mobile

Outcome

Achieved a more user-friendly and interactive design for the Fresh Find platform based on the results of user testing, which showed improved usability and interactivity for both vendors and consumers.

Currently new updates are being added to the design by new team.
